What We Found

The Situation

When we arrived at this commercial basement, we found thick black mold covering large sections of the concrete block walls. The growth was heaviest near the pipes, electrical panels, and lower wall areas where moisture had built up over time. Dark mold stains ran from floor level up several feet on multiple walls. We could see the mold spreading along the stairwell walls as well. The space had a utility sink, exposed copper piping, and ductwork – all surrounded by mold. With the basement sealed off and no dehumidifier in place, the damp conditions had let the mold take over.
