What We Found

The Situation

When we arrived at this Philadelphia row home, we found water stains and moisture spread across the basement concrete floor. A clogged drain and water seeping under the back door had been letting water in for some time. Black mold was growing on the lower sections of sheetrock in multiple rooms and along a hallway. We began cutting out the contaminated drywall, exposing the wood studs and concrete foundation walls behind it. Damaged flooring material was pulled up and piled for removal. We taped black plastic sheeting over the back door and windows using blue painter’s tape to create containment. A HEPA air scrubber was set up to filter mold spores out of the air while our crew sprayed treatment solution across the concrete floors and exposed framing.
